She decided to revive the foundation, founded in 2005, because now more than ever Afghanistan should not be forgotten
Founding father of the Afghanistan International Bank, established in a joint mission in 2003 with Ehsan Turabaz, Cimic forces, the Asian Development Bank, ING and the ARC. Since then, AIB has been voted ‘Best bank of Afghanistan’ by Euromoney. My experience with the Afghan people left me with the conviction that providing further professional assistance and aid is what is necessary to help recontructing a country and supporting its people, wich is needed for so many years and especially today!
My name is Huria Taufiqui I am working as a creditor accounting employee at a chemical company for 13 years. I am a native Afghan and with this foundation a dream of mine is coming true and I can finally help my compatriots and out of love and connection with my fellow man I want to work for that every person has the right to a good life.
Isabelle Turabaz specialized in PR, Marketing & Events. Responsible for Communication & Events of the foundation Friends of Afghanistan. Being part of this foundation presents a new opportunity and motivation to continue building the bridge between the Netherlands and Afghanistan. This was a commitment that my father, Ehsan, always held dear. I’m proud to expand his wishes and make sure Afghanistan will never be forgotten.
